Plans for zero-emissions by 2045 include EV fleet
The ACT is working towards zero emissions by 2045, with plans to have 100% of their vehicles electric. The current forecast is to have 50% of its newly leased government vehicles electric by 2020, and moving to 100% by 2021.
As most EV owners already do, this government sees not only the environmental benefits, of moving to electric, but the economic ones too.
Another part of the ACT’s zero-emissions plan is to harness energy lost by the train network through regenerative braking, and redirect it through public EV chargers. This is great news for EV owners in the ACT who want to charge when they are out in public.
